Gloria Jean (Bianca) Elmore, born May 14,1943, passed away peacefully in Brandon, MS, surrounded by her family and the wonderful Assisted Living staff at Castlewoods Place in Brandon, MS. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, James Elmore of Brandon, MS; her mother and father, Grace and Angelo Bianca of Indianola, MS; four sisters namely Catherine Ann Sconiers (Lloyd) of Marietta, GA; Mary Louise (Nathan) Peacock of Greenville, MS; Janie Cissell (Howard) of Snellville, GA; Charlene Evans (Randy) of Lake Village, AR and her brother, Raymond Bianca of Brandon, MS. A devoted wife to her late husband James Elmore of 54 years, and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gloria will be deeply missed by her daughters Terry Jackson of Brandon, MS; Gwen Smith (David) of Poplarville, MS; and Jamie Elmore of Brandon, MS; her grandchildren Lesley Benton, Shelley Burnham (T.J.) both from Brandon, MS; Rance Necaise (Jessica), Skye Necaise, and Emily Necaise, all from Necaise Crossing Community, Hancock County, MS; and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her entire cherished Bianca family, including 16 nieces and nephews, and one beloved Elmore nephew. Gloria also treasured her large and extended Italian Bianca and Colotta family, whose roots ran deep in Indianola, where she was born. This family tree began with two sisters marrying two brothers, creating a bond she held dear throughout her life. Gloria attended Indianola High School, where she developed a lifelong love of music. She played the Oboe in the high school band, was a twirler, and proudly earned a place in the State Lions Band during her senior year.

She married James Elmore in Indianola in 1959, and together they made their home in Greenwood, where they raised their three girls. During her young adult years, Gloria was active in the Catholic Church, playing piano for the church youth choir, assisting with special events, and serving as church secretary. Her professional career also included work in banking and at the law firm of Whittington, Brock, Swayze, Dale & Calhoun and Staple Cotton. Gloria was deeply involved in her community and formed many lasting friendships over the years. As a young mother, she taught dance lessons in her home to neighborhood girls without charge. She also volunteered through the Leflore LeBonte Women's Club, Salvation Army Drives, and other fundraisers; served as a Brownie leader; participated in the Band Booster Club; and faithfully supported her children in their many activities and events. In 1983, Gloria and James moved to Brandon, MS, where she continued building lifelong friendships. An avid bridge player since 1963, Gloria enjoyed years of playing with friends in both Greenwood and Brandon, MS. She continued playing bridge through 2021, before entering Castlewoods Place Assisted Living, which became her final home. Her generosity, faith, music, and unwavering love for family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. From your girls, Mom, you are sorely missed until we see you together again in our eternal home in Heaven.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Indianola Memorial Gardens. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
