Obituary

Helen Burnside Toler, 90, of Inverness died on September 6, 2018 after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Meridian, MS and graduated from Meridian High School. Helen attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was M Club Sponsor for one year while at Ole Miss. Helen graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She married William Jackson "Bill" Toler on September 23, 1950 in Meridian and they made their home in Inverness. Helen was a long-time member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother Fannie Mae Burnside.
Helen is survived by her husband of 68 years, William Jackson "Bill" Toler; daughters, Susan Walne Toler of Jackson and Allyn Street Toler Roulhac (Win) of Greenville; granddaughter, Mary Allyn Roulhac Hedges (Stephen) of Oxford; and great-grandchildren, James Billington Hedges and Katharine McLain Hedges both of Oxford.
Visitation will take place Sunday, September 9, 2018, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Inverness at 2pm with the service following at 3pm. Burial will take place in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church in Inverness or a charity of the donor's choice.
The family would like to thank their caregivers Annie Ruth Thomas, Gloria Young, Fabian Parker and Lynn Taylor. Also, thanks to Dr. Wade Dowell for his compassionate care of Helen.
