Henry Oliver Way, 86, of Indianola died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at South Sunflower County Hospital. He was born March 19, 1930 in Georgetown, Mississippi and was the son of Oliver Lee Way and Luna Adell Dickerson Way. Mr. Way graduated from Georgetown High School and was the Salutatorian of his class. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church of Indianola where he served as a deacon. Mr. Way was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Fadie Mae Hawkins Way and Juanita Blackwood Way; and two sisters, Ruby Keen and Mary White. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons; Dean Way and his wife Fran of Florence, Rick Way of Newton, Iowa, and Bobby Way and his wife Teresa of Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughter, Sandy Smith and her husband Pete of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Joseph Way and his wife Ruth of Georgetown, Texas and Willie Edward Way and his wife Virginia of Greenville; sister, Lavenia Bullard and her husband Paul of Brandon; eight grandchildren, Wendy Koenigsberger and husband Marc, Dawn Bryant and husband Chad, Ryan Smith and wife Melinda, Jenny Rigney and husband Joe, Xan Way, Kyle Way and wife Emily, Brent Way and wife Mandy, and Keith Strickland and wife Tammy; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends Monday, June 6, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 am at Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery.
