Ila Mae Hardin Burton, 81, of Blaine, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Indianola Rehabilitation and Healthcare. She was born June 5, 1936, in Stewart, Mississippi, and was the daughter of Willie Lee and Cleo Knight Hardin. Ms. Burton attended Blaine Baptist Church.

Ms. Burton was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmie Burton, sister, Lorene Goss; and brother, James Hardin. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jimmy Burton of Blaine, James Burton and wife Debra of Sunflower, Mary Jane Burton Long and husband Charles of Petal, Larry Burton and wife Sharon of Blaine, Jerry Wayne Burton of Blaine; sisters, Ruby Goss of Doddsville, Ruth Turner of Holcomb, Alice Turner of Kosciusko, Pearl Pattridge of Stewart, Edna Johnston of Union, Faye Burchfield of Stewart; brothers, J. E. Hardin and Charlie Hardin both of Stewart; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
