Iris Virginia Baker Green, 90, of Indianola, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at her home.

Iris was born March 21, 1931, in Bolivar County to M.A. and Effie Scrivner Baker. She was the family historian, and always kept up with aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  Ms. Green adored her family and was very devoted to them. She worked for many years as the bookkeeper and secretary at Green Refrigeration.

Iris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, V.H. Green; and brother, Milton Baker.

She is survived by son, Jimmy Green of Indianola; daughter, Karen (Timmy) Horne of Indianola; brother, Dennis Baker of Brandon; sister, Thelda Pettit of Odessa, Texas; four grandchildren, Kolby Green, BreAnn Hunt, Merideth Cooper, and Elizabeth Horne; and four great grandchildren, Brenleigh Hunt, Mari-Lynn Cooper, Harrison Green, and Drake Eubanks.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Linn Methodist Church in Shaw. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm, in Linn Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Veronica Pritchard officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
