Jaisa Jade Blount was born at 6:15 am, Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Shortly after making her entrance and meeting her family, Jaisa passed away at 7:25 am. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ethel Steadman Washington; paternal grandfather, Johnnie James; and special cousin, Micheal Steadman.  Jaisa is survived by her parents, Johnnie Blount of Leland and Stephanie Washington of Indianola; maternal grandfather, J.B. Washington of Indianola; paternal grandmother, Mary Blount of Mays Landing, New Jersey; great aunt, Clara Brown of Moorhead; great uncle, Ernest Washington of Milwauke, Wisconsin; aunts, Joyce Kent of Madison, Tennessee; Cassandra Lyons of Indianola; Gloria Moses of Moorhead; and Bobbie Washington of Jackson; special cousins, Michelle Steadman, Steven Lyons, Jr. LaMarquisha Lyons, Darius Beamon, Savion Washington, Donielle Scales, Jamarius Moses, Felecia Moses, and James Moses; and a host of cousins, family members and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, November 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm for a graveside service at Indianola City Cemetery. Pastor Glenn Donald will officiate.
