James Henry Causey, 60, of Indianola, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson.

James was born on October 13, 1965, to Henry Causey and Ann Downs Pinion. He was a graduate of Ruleville Central High School. James was a truck driver for Catfish Express for many years. He was a charismatic guy and was very spontaneous. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and working. James was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Indianola.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Causey; stepmother, Nell Causey; stepfather, Billy Pinion; and his beloved wife, Linda Causey.

James is survived by his mother, Ann Pinion of Cleveland; son, Chad Causey (Kaitlyn) of Indianola; his best friend that he loved like a brother, Ed Belk of Inverness; stepbrother, Jerry Pinion; stepsister, Tina Pinion Benton; three grandchildren, Sema'j Diew, Kinsley Jones, and Cyncere Causey; and his beloved dog, Baby Girl.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
