James Pete Cook, 82, of Indianola, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at his home. Pete was born in White Oak, Mississippi to Johnnie and Annie Cook. He was a warehouse manager for SuperValu Lewis Grocer Division until his retirement. Pete was a member of Indianola Church of Christ, and a United States Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmy Cook; brothers, Johnnie Bennett Cook, Billy Earl Cook; and sisters, "B" Cook and Betty Heiserman. Pete leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rayma Carr Cook of Indianola; son, Tim Cook and his wife Linda of Winona; daughters, Paula Tharp of Indianola, Pam Hodges and her husband Tommy of Itta Bena, Lisa Hope and her husband John of Heber Springs.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 24th from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service at Indianola Church of Christ, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home of Indianola.
