James Golden Fulcher, Jr., 61, of Belzoni, and formerly of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully November 22, 2017, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood.
He was born January 14, 1956 in Belzoni, the only child of James Golden Fulcher and Joy Mohamed Fulcher. Mr. Fulcher graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Music degree. He was a United States Navy veteran. Mr. Fulcher moved to Los Angeles and worked in the book publishing field for over 20 years. He was a communicant of All Saints Catholic Church in Belzoni.
Mr. Fulcher was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Joy Fulcher; his paternal grandparents, Lottie Mae and Golden Fulcher; and his maternal grandparents Hassan and Ethel Wright Mohamed.
He is survived by two aunts, Carol Mohamed Ivy of Belzoni and Hazel Mohamed Wilson of Alamo, California, and 18 cousins.
The family will receive friend Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 funeral mass at All Saints Catholic Church in Belzoni. Burial will follow in Greencrest Gardens in Belzoni. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
