Today we share the passing of Janice Rose Jeffers on December 15, 2025, just days after celebrating her 90th birthday. She was born December 10, 1935, in Georgia.

Janice was my mother-in-law and the mother of my husband, Jeff Matecki. Her life journey was uniquely her own, shaped by her strength and independence. Her friends became her family, and she valued those connections deeply.

She loved walking her dog Daisy, reading a good book, drinking her black coffee, and living life on her own terms. She is survived by her son, Jeff Matecki, two grandchildren, Cody Matecki and MaKenzie Matecki, and one great-grandson, Noah Hampton.

We hold space for gratitude, reflection, and peace as we remember her life.
