Janice Donald Tharp, 83, of Ocean Springs, and formerly of Isola, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Pine View Health & Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro.

She was born July 11, 1937, in Isola, to James Andrew Donald and Ellen Rea McMillan Donald. Janice was a bookkeeper for SuperValu in Indianola for over 20 years until her retirement. She also worked for the Ford Dealership in Belzoni and Guaranty Bank in Belzoni. Janice was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Isola where she also kept their books for many years, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and was a member of the WMU. She greatly loved the Lord and her family.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gaylon Tharp; and son, Roger Craig Tharp.

She is survived by two children, Gaylon "Jay" Tharp, Jr. (Vickie) of Dayton, Ohio, and Lisa Tharp Manley (Pete) of Ocean Springs; one brother, James "Boot" Donald (Jean) of Bartlett, Tennessee; four sisters, Glenda Moore (Steve) of Daphne, Alabama, Patsy Cobb (Richard) of Ridgeland, Sue Woods (Art) of Marietta, Georgia, and Renee Smira (Bob) of Olive Branch; three grandchildren, Jason Tharp, Shelley Pack, and Ashley Tharp; and three great grandchildren, Jade, Keira, and Russell.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Greencrest Gardens in Belzoni.
