Martha Jeanette Ingold was born April 10, 1933 in Indianola, Mississippi to M.A. and Nellie Tankesly. She was married September 10, 1951 to Jackie Ingold and they made their home in Indianola. Jeanette was a retired Assistant City Clerk for the City of Indianola. She was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church where she served on the Finance Committee. She was a member of Indianola Civic League. Jeanette enjoyed knitting, gardening and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, M.A. and Nellie Tankesly; husband, Jackie Ingold; and daughter, Debra Machell.

Jeanette is survived by two daughters, Wanda (Ray) Jenkins and Donna (Bill) Shepherd of Indianola; and son-in-law, Jack Machell of Boyle; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Christ United Methodist Church in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
