Jeffery Boyd Sharp, 60, of Sunflower, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at South Sunflower County Hospital.

Jeff was born October 18, 1964, in Greenville, to James Eddie Sharp and Barbara Willis Sharp. He worked for Super Valu for 17 years and worked as a maintenance technician at Dollar General Warehouse for 20 years. Jeff also owned and operated Sharp Fence Company for over 30 years. He was an extremely hard worker. Jeff never met a stranger and was always a jokester. He enjoyed watching old movies, surfing the internet, and doing yard work. Jeff loved his family, especially his children. He was a member of Sunflower Baptist Church.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, James Eddie Sharp; brother, James Eddie "Bubba" Sharp, Jr. and sister, Toni Sharp.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Willis Sharp Griffin of Sunflower; wife, Samantha Massey Sharp; two daughters, Kayla Lewis (Connor) of Brandon and Emily Vlok (Gerhard) of Shaw; stepdaughter, Kathrine Boykin (Wes) of Sunflower; stepson, Johnathan Holloway (Jennifer) of Carrollton; brother, Jerry Madden (Christie Smith) of Water Valley; two sisters, Gail Sharp of Madison and Joann Lofton of Greenville; grandson, Henry Lewis of Brandon; and three step granddaughters, Cady Jones, Hollie Jones, and Kaitlin Boykin.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Trey Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
