Jermaine Yvette Booker Hill, affectionately known as Jerry, 73, of Indianola, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Jerry was born April 27, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio to Galen Albert Booker, I and Denise Yvette Vanet Booker. She was a 1965 graduate of Beavercreek High School in Dayton, Ohio. Jerry married Carl Eugene "Gene" Hill, Jr. on August 31, 1974, and together they made their home in Dayton for many years until the ministry called them to Auburndale, Florida, and later Indianola. Jerry enjoyed card making, acrylic painting, and quilting. She was a kindhearted person, was generous to a fault, and would do anything for anyone. Jerry loved God and her family. She was a devoted and faithful member of Indianola Church of Christ and was a member of the Moorhead Garden Club.

Jerry was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jacqueline Shelton; and brother, Galen Booker, II.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Rev. Gene Hill of Indianola; son, Justin (Shannon) Hill of Hahira, Georgia; five grandchildren, Connor, Brenna, Evelyn, Donovan, and Finnick; twin sister, Jeannine A. Spang of North Port, Florida; niece, Jacque Ann Rice of Scottsville, Kentucky; two nephews, Jeff Spang of Oakwood, Ohio and Jon Spang of Jacksonville, Florida; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 10:00 am until the 10:30 am funeral service at Indianola Church of Christ. Minister Doug Post will officiate. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
