Jerry Lee Nabors, 74, of Indianola and formerly of Benoit, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at his home.

Jerry was born December 2, 1951, in Rosedale, to Edward and Minnie Dorothy Hanks Nabors. He dedicated 15 years to serving as Public Works Supervisor for the Town of Boyle before retiring. Retirement, however, wasn't quite for Jerry. After just six months, he returned to work as Public Works Supervisor for the City of Benoit, where he faithfully served another 20 years before retiring.

Jerry had a lifelong passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and loved nothing more than hitting the open road on one of his Harleys. Parkinson's disease eventually took away the joy of riding and forced him to part with his last motorcycle, something he deeply missed. Jerry was a loyal friend with a big heart and a personality all his own. When he cared about you, there was never any question of where you stood. He was the kind of friend who would go out of his way to help someone he loved. He had a genuine love for his family and treasured the people who were part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Peddicord and Betty Jo Frasier; nephew, Greggory Boyette; and niece, Melissa Gonerway.

Jerry is survived by his brother, Eddie Nabors (Sarah) of Indianola; sister, Sandra Maynard of Southaven; two nephews, Eddie “Chip” Nabors, Jr. (Sarah) and Price Peddicord (Ashley); niece, Christy Linkous (Rob); and a host of other nieces.

Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services Monday, November 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Cemetery in Beulah. The family requests Harley-Davidson casual attire in honor of Jerry's love of riding.
