Mr. Jimmy "Jim" Dale Freeze, 76, of Wheeler, MS, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Indywood Personal Care Home in Indianola, MS.

Jim was born July 18, 1947, in Pascagoula, MS to the late James Oliver and Velma Christian Freeze. He was an instrumentation technician and a Baptist.

After graduating Wheeler High School, he attended an electronics trade school in Birmingham, AL. In the 1970s, he went to work for Mississippi Chemical Corporation in Pascagoula, MS. In the 1980s he returned to North Mississippi and went to work for Kimberly Clark Corporation in Corinth, MS. He worked 25+ years and retired in 2007.

He was a technician through and through and approached everything in life with that mindset. As much as he loved his work and his country, nothing compared to the love he had for his son and grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his son, Gloria Barnett Freeze; and his brother, Gary Donald Freeze.

Jim is survived by his son, Douglas Freeze (Amy Wolgamott) of Indianola and Southaven and two grandsons, Wesley Alexander Freeze and Carter Jackson Freeze, both of Hernando, MS.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local community college of your choice.
