Jimmy Wayne Grant, 72, of Isola, passed away peacefully Monday, July 20, 2020, with his loving wife by his side.

Jimmy was born October 30, 1947, in Yazoo City to Walter Eugene Grant and Maggie Jean Chun Grant. He was a very hard worker and had a true passion for raising catfish. Jimmy was the owner of The Fish Company, Inc. in Isola. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Belzoni.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Cantrell Grant of Isola; two sons, David Grant and his wife Monica of Inverness, and Steven Grant and his wife Gena of Wisconsin; three daughters, Melissa Grant of Wisconsin, Jami Selby of Memphis, Tennessee, and Jessica Gibbs of Rogers, Arkansas; one brother, Tommy Grant of Brighton, Tennessee; one sister, Linda Stapleton of Hattiesburg; and seven grandchildren, Jay, John Arthur, Ava, Caleb, Ella, Mari Madison, and Baylee.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
