Johnnie Carroll, 81, of Shelby, and formerly of Belzoni, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at Shelby Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Shelby. She was born in Belzoni, Mississippi and was the daughter of Walter Lee and Johnnie Hogan Brown.

Johnnie was a psychologist for the State of Florida. After relocating back to Belzoni, she worked with the GED program until her retirement in 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Barnett Carroll and her parents. Johnnie leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Trish Lambert and husband Volker of Germany, Bunnie Lee Walker of Florida; brother, Tom Jordan of Alabama; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
