Joseph Alan "Joey" Kimbriel, 41, of Indianola, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Joey was born February 2, 1983, in Cleveland, to Raymond Davis Kimbriel and Brenda Robison Kimbriel. He was raised in Indianola where he graduated from Indianola Academy. Joey had worked as a surveyor at Gardner Engineering. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting, and especially cooking. Joey was an avid Mississippi State fan.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Dillard Kimbriel and his maternal grandparents.

Joey is survived by his father, Raymond Kimbriel of Indianola; mother, Brenda Kimbriel of Greenwood; grandmother, Aythel Kimbriel of Indianola; two brothers, David Kimbriel (Sarah) of Greenwood and Tim Kimbriel of Perkinston; his three beloved cats, Itty Bitty, Booger, and Lightning; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
