Juanita Lee Blackwood Way, 87, of Indianola, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. Juanita was born in Crowder, MS, and was the daughter of John Rainey and Bessie Holder Blackwood. She was a bookkeeper for Otasco until her retirement. Juanita was a jokester, and her laughter was contagious! She loved to bake, and made excellent pecan pies for everyone in Indianola. Juanita was the loving, devoted wife of Oliver for almost 52 years, and the loving mother to Sandy, Dean, Ricky, and Bobby. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Henry Oliver Way of Indianola; daughter, Sandy Smith (Pete) of Houston, TX; sons, Dean Way (Fran) of Florence, MS, Rick Way of Newton, IA, Bobby Way of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren, Wendy Koenigsberger (Marc), Dawn Bryant (Chad), Ryan Smith (Melinda), Jenny Rigney (Joe), Xan Way, Keith Strickland (Tammy), Kyle Way (Emily), Brent Way (Mandy); and eighteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home, Indianola. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Eastwood Baptist Church, Indianola. Interment will follow in Indianola City Cemetery all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home.

The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Eddie Donahoe, Yvonne Danna, and Tina Moore for their excellent, compassionate care. Also, special thanks to Eastwood Baptist Church for everything they have done for our family over the last two and a half years.
