June Reed Hodge, 83, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Walter B. Crook Nursing Facility in Ruleville. June was born August 23, 1932 in Louisville, Mississippi, and was the daughter of Jim and Nettie Reed. She worked for SuperValu as a secretary in the Truck Shop for over 25 years until her retirement.

June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Lamar Hodge; brother, Tarvan Reed; and sister, Betty Johns. She leaves to cherish her memory sons; George R. Hodge and wife Anita, Kenneth W. Hodge and wife Carolyn, all of Indianola; daughter, Gwen Hodge McKnight and husband Jeff of Moorhead; brothers, Buck Reed, Ralph Reed, Ray Reed, Jerry Reed; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 8, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home, Indianola. Interment will follow in Indianola City Cemetery, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home.
