Jeanette Kaye Holmes Chambers, 63, of Indianola, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Delta Health the Medical Center in Greenville.

Kaye was born December 7, 1960, in Indianola, to Albert and Beatrice Gober Holmes. She was raised in Indianola where she graduated from Indianola Academy in 1977. Kaye also graduated from Mississippi Delta Junior College in Moorhead. She worked for Lewis Grocer Company in Indianola for 15 years and later worked for Delta Western for 19 years prior to her retirement. Kaye loved her work and her work family. She was a very loving person but had a hardheaded streak.  Kaye loved animals. Never having children of her own, her dogs were her babies, and they were treated as well as humans.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Beatrice Holmes.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Winfred Chambers; two brothers, David Holmes (Peggy) and Dennis Holmes (Merle); twin sister, Faye Holmes Vance, all of Indianola; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
