Kenneth Wayne Rowland, 70, of Bolton, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Kenneth was born July 29, 1954, in the Delta, to John Louis Rowland and Alma Farrell Rowland. He was raised in Winona and Inverness. Kenneth worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. He was a family man and was loved by all who knew him. Kenneth was generous to a fault. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed anything outside, especially mowing his yard and riding the old country roads. He loved and enjoyed time with his grandchildren. Kenneth was a Christian and loved the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Alvis Lee "Red" Rowland, Otis Eugene "Sonny" Rowland, John Howard Rowland, Hugh David "Bud" Rowland, Stanley Harris Rowland, Jewell Douglas "Doug" Rowland, and Robert Earl "Bob" Rowland and his sisters, Janette "Fritz" Brown and Robin Rowland.

Kenneth is survived by his brothers, William Duncan "Bill" Rowland and Grady Rowland (Judy); sisters, Linda Carol Smart, Betty Ann Pruitt, and Mary Jo Hearn (Benjie); children, Brenda Kay Charles (Brian), Carrie Lynn Braden (Brad), and Cody Wayne Rowland; three grandchildren, Joshua Mansfield, Brad Braden, Jr. and Mya Braden; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will follow at Indianola Memorial Gardens at 6:00 pm. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
