Obituary

Kyle Bridgers Andrus, 33, of Lexington, and formerly of Moorhead, passed away suddenly October 9, 2021, at his home from complications of pneumonia.

Kyle was born December 23, 1987, in Jackson, to Thomas Lee Andrus and Melinda Bridgers Andrus. He was a graduate of Indianola Academy. Kyle attended Mississippi State University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Biological Science degree from Delta State University. He was the farm manager for Little Omega Farms in Tchula. Kyle was a member of Moorhead Methodist Church. He was a devoted father, brother, son, and LSU fan. He was an avid hunter and lover of the outdoors. Anything involving wildlife or nature, you could bet he knew everything about it. In his free time, you could find him in a field searching for Indian artifacts and arrowheads or crappie fishing with not one, but at least six poles at once. He could cook anything imaginable especially if it involved cajun spices and he could build a mean bonfire. Kyle's smile was contagious and his personality infectious. He never met a stranger, and his sense of humor was one of a kind. The goodness in Kyle's heart was immeasurable and was exemplified through his genuine care and compassion for those he loved, especially his dog and best friend, Jesse. He left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Anyone that was lucky enough to have known Kyle is forever changed for the better. He will never be forgotten, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all he touched.

Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Frances Bridgers of Belzoni and Jesse and Helen Andrus of Eunice, Louisiana; uncle, Sammy Bridgers of Belzoni; and aunt, Paula Griffin of Moorhead.

He is survived by his father, Tommy Lee Andrus of Sunflower; mother, Melinda Bridgers Andrus of Moorhead; two sons, Kamdon Andrus of Grenada and Gray Andrus of Greenville; brother, Brian (Laura) Andrus of Moorhead; sister, Lindsay Andrus of Madison; twin sister, Kelsey Andrus of Troy, Alabama; two cousins, Jake Jenkins of Oxford and Bart Jenkins of Holly Springs; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 10:00 am until 11:30 am, at Moorhead Methodist Church in Moorhead. The memorial service will begin at 11:30 am with Rev. Veronica Pritchard officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
