Larry Harold Woodard, Sr., 71, of Indianola, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at his home. He was born July 27, 1945 in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and was the son of Harold and Eda Woodard.
Larry graduated from Indianola High School in 1965. In September, 1966 he married Brenda Trivette, and together they made their home in Indianola. Larry worked for Ludlow Manufacturing for 18 years and continued his career with Lewis Grocer Company until his retirement.
Larry was a jokester, and loved to make people laugh! His caring nature was evident in his love for helping others. He was an avid hunter, loved gardening, and in his spare time he worked on lawnmowers.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda Trivette Woodard of Indianola; sons, Larry Woodard, Jr. and his wife Chastity of Indianola, Chris Woodard and his wife Melanie of Tupelo; brother, James Woodard of Nashville; grandchildren, Chase Peacock, Shelbie Ray, Zackary Woodard, Mason Woodard; and great grandchildren, Marley Peacock and Eden Ray.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 20
th
from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Interment will follow in Indianola City Cemetery, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home.
