Lenora Adams Griffin, 90, of Indianola, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Indianola Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center with her loving family by her side.

Lenora was born September 19, 1931, in Schlater, to Oscar and Gussie Hall Adams. She graduated high school in Schlater and attended Mississippi Delta Junior College. Lenora worked at Ludlow Manufacturing for many years and later worked in accounting at Delta Pride Catfish. She retired with over 20 years of service. Lenora loved technology and always wanted the newest gadget on the market. She had a love for learning and was always eager to learn something new, which was typically easy for her because she had a photographic memory. Lenora enjoyed reading, cooking, cross stitching, and talking politics. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lenora was a member of The Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Gussie Adams; husband, Raymond Griffin; brother, Lee Adams; sister, Jean Wright; and grandson, Christopher J. Dill.

Mrs. Griffin is survived son, Ronnie Griffin and his wife Lisa of Indianola; two daughters, Rosemary Dill of Pearl and Lorraine Sorrells and husband Douglas of Corryton, Tennessee; brother, Jackie Adams of Oregon; sister, Alice Morgan of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, Justin Griffin and his wife Kitty, Kenneth Mullen, Kelon Dill and his wife Susie, Rhonda Mullen, Angie Sanders, Ragan Sorrells Rutherford and her husband Justin, and Landon Sorrells; twelve great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jack Manor officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola Memorial Gardens. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
