Obituary

Linda Ann Robison Davenport, 74, of Boyle, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at her home in Boyle.

Linda was born June 3, 1947, in Linn, to Clinton Ladell Robison and Georgia Parthenia Hodges Robison. She married Dee Davenport on August 12, 1965, and together they made their home in Indianola until moving to Boyle in 2006. Linda worked as a quality control engineer at Modern Line Products in Indianola for over 30 years until they closed. She then went to work in the same position with Faurecia Automotive Seating in Cleveland until her retirement in 2012. Linda was a very hard worker. Her day would begin at 3:00 am when she would get up to get dressed for work. She never left the house without her makeup on and her hair fixed just right. Linda was the second oldest child and she stepped in and took care of her brothers and sisters. She was always the "boss", even later in life she was always the leader and the one everyone turned to. Linda was very highly respected, intelligent, loving, compassionate, organized, and sassy. She loved family gatherings and having fun. Linda was the cool grandmother. She always carried herself with elegance and dignity.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dee Davenport; and brother, Jackie "Bud" Robison.

She is survived by two children, Wayne (Maria) Davenport of Horn Lake and Carol Davenport of Boyle; two brothers, Bo (Cathy) Hodges of Walls and George Robison of Sunflower; six sisters, Faye (Sonny) Hardy of Philadelphia, Elaine Langston of Southaven, Nettie (Michael) Lindsey of Coldwater, Gladys (Donald) Coker of Grenada, Rachelle Robison of Greenville, South Carolina, and Kathy (Terance) Elzy of Greenville, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Chris (Remy) Foster, Walt Foster, Donna Hampton, Zachery Davenport, Kaitlyn Kennedy Duke, Tiffany Thompson, and Brittany Davenport; and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 6, 2021, at 11:00 am at Burton Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Linn Baptist Church Cemetery in Shaw. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
