Linda Earls Lowery, 74, of Doddsville, passed away peacefully, May 21, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson.

Linda was born February 13, 1947, to Woodrow Wilson Earls and Ella Redell Mitchell Earls. She worked as a telephone operator for South Central Bell for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1995. Linda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, spending time with grandchildren, going on vacations, and working in her church. Linda loved teaching others about Jesus. She taught Sunday School for over 20 years and helped with Vacation Bible School every year. Linda was a devoted member of Roundaway Baptist Church. She was very humble and had a sweet spirit.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, W.W. and Ella Earls; brother, Clay Earls; and granddaughter, Sarah Parker Williams.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ernie Lowery of Doddsville; daughter, Tracie (Cal) Williams of Madisonville, Louisiana; son, Mac (Natalie) Lowery of Lakeland, Tennessee; two brothers, Ellis (Anna) Earls of Merigold and Roger (Quitta) Earls of Doddsville; sister, Doris Mitchell of Doddsville; five grandchildren, Dow Williams, Elizabeth Williams, Evan Lowery, Ava Lowery, and Mason Lowery; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 24, 2021, from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm, at Roundaway Baptist Church in Doddsville. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 pm with Rev. Bob Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
