Linda Gail Eldridge Pate, 72, of Isola, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Athens, Tennessee.

Linda was born January 8, 1950, in Neshoba County to Travis Grover Eldridge and Annie Lou Eakes Eldridge. She worked at Stubbs Drug Store in Isola for 32 years prior to her retirement. Linda helped raise half the children in the town of Isola. She enjoyed reading, singing, and dancing. Linda loved being in the mountains. She was a faithful member of Isola Church of God.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Sammy Louis "Sambo" Pate.

She is survived by one son, Travis L. Pate of Isola; two daughters, Phyllis P. Baldwin (Robert) of Isola and Wendy J. Riley (Scott) of Athens, Tennessee; her beloved chihuahua, Sweet Pea; two sisters, Judy McClain (Wayne) of Georgia and Janet Stewart (Scottie) of Belzoni; ten grandchildren, Rachel Moor (Joel), Paul Baldwin (Keri), Brianna Riley, Macey Riley, Joseph Riley, Jeremiah Riley, Jordan Riley, Maranda Pate, JR Pate, and Ana Scroggins; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Baldwin and Prestin Baldwin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Rev. Kevin Balius officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola Memorial Gardens. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
