Obituary

Gwendolyn Linn Hamberlin Riggan, 52, of Indianola, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023, at her home.

Linn was born April 7, 1970, in Cleveland, to William Clyde and Donna Rupert Hamberlin. She was raised in Greenville where she graduated from Riverside High School. Linn earned her Associates Degree from Mississippi Delta Community College. She worked in data management for Delta and Pine Land for many years prior to becoming a stay at home mother. Linn was very witty, headstrong, and funny. She was strong willed and full of herself. Linn  was one of a kind and had the biggest heart. Her son, Jacob, said she was the meanest woman in his life because she always held his feet to the fire. Her family was everything to her. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. Linn loved big but never loved harder than she did with her husband Bert.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Clyde Hamberlin.

Linn is survived by her husband, Bert Riggan of Indianola; mother, Donna Hamberlin of Greenville; daughter, Ali Nichols of Indianola; son, Jacob Riggan of Indianola; two brothers, Laird (Katie) Hamberlin of Memphis and Mark (Amy) Hamberlin of Greenville; and granddaughter, Swaizee Smith.
