Louise Brown passed into the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ on April 19, 2020. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born on February 25, 1923 to J.D. Campbell and Willie Ray Campbell in Drew, Mississippi. She was married to L.K. (Kimbriel) Brown in 1942. At his death, they had been married 69 years. They had one daughter, Syble Anne Brown Dial.
She was a graduate of Minter City High School and attended Moorhead Jr. College
Louise was a member of First Baptist Church, Inverness, for many years and served her Lord as a Sunday School teacher, Church Librarian, and in the Women's Missionary Union. Outside of church, she worked as the Secretary for the Inverness Chamber of Commerce, served in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and was a charter member of the World War II Memorial in Washington, DC. She loved cooking and baking and enjoyed sharing her home-baked bread with friends.
Louise was predeceased by her husband Kimbriel, daughter Anne, brothers Franklin Campbell and J.D. Campbell Jr., and sister Ophelia Williams. She is survived by her sister Faye (Joe) Nix and brother Doye (Bobbette) Campbell.
She is also survived by grandchildren Amanda Anne (Brad) Sartor, John Michael (Scarlet) Dial, great grandchildren, Anne K. Sartor, Eli T. Sartor, Alexa M. Dial, John L. Dial, many nieces and nephews, and son in law John Dial.
Interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
Her family thanks Indywood Staff and Angela for their loving care and Dr. Edgar Donahoe who has been a stalwart friend and physician.
