Loy Glen 'Bubba' Hawkins, Jr., 67, of Inverness, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at his home.

Bubba was born on February 7, 1959, to Loy Glen Hawkins, Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth England Wolford. He was a United States Army Veteran and spent his career in construction. Bubba was a generous person with a big heart; he would help anyone. He never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid hunter. Bubba loved his family and, most of all, his animals.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, stepmother, Joanne Savell Hawkins; his beloved wife of 42 years, Ann Hawkins; brother, Mike; sister, Barbara; and niece, Leanne.

Bubba is survived by stepson, Bill Fikes (Stacy) of Purvis; three stepdaughters, Wanda Fulton (Ken) of Rolling Fork, Donna Johnson (Nathan) of Inverness, and Shannon Weeks (Billy) of Indianola; brother, Bill Hawkins (Renee) of Belzoni; two sisters, Rhonda Sanders of Hermitage, TN and Kathy Coinex of LA; special friend, Mary Ann Brock of Pontotoc; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 11:00 am until 12 noon at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will follow at noon. Burton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
