Obituary

Irnie Lynnette Henderson Holland, 71, of Inverness, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at South Sunflower County Hospital.

Lynn was born August 18, 1951, in Lucedale, to Everett Henderson and Mable Doris Eubanks Henderson. She worked at Ayres Delta Implement and as a real estate agent prior to her retirement in 2013. Lynn loved Ole Miss sports and enjoyed going to games. She was an excellent cook and was the dog whisperer in Inverness. Any time a dog would go missing from its home, it seemed to always end up at Lynn's house. She was a special friend to all who knew her. Lynn loved celebrating her friends' birthdays and going to the beach with friends when her health would allow. Lynn loved decorating for holidays especially Christmas and Halloween. Halloween was her favorite because she loved children and loved giving out candy to all the kids. She was given the unofficial title of "Mrs. Inverness".

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Tommy Cook of Inverness; two sons, Brad (Latisha) Holland and Ben Holland all of Lucedale; stepson, Watson (Melissa) Cook of Inverness; brother, Jimmy (Patty) Henderson of Cleveland; two sisters, Barbara Barnett of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Martee (Wayne) Gibson of Moss Point; and three grandchildren, Dasan Holland, Easton Cook and William Cook.
