Mack Lynn Sheffield, 69, of Moorhead passed away Monday, October 12, 2015, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola. He was born in Moorhead on October 27, 1945, the son of Emma Timbs and Nathan Robert Sheffield.

Mack retired in 2013 from the Maintenance Department of Mississippi Delta Community College after 23 years of service.   A master craftsman, Mack loved building houses and other fine pieces for many people over the years. In April, 2015, he was honored by receiving the Jimmy Bellipanni Distinguished Trojan Award. Mack was a faithful member of Moorhead Baptist Church.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Neil Sheffield; and sisters, Laura Mae Ferguson, Helen Vontice Nicholson, and Penelope "Penny" Halligan.

Mack is survived by his loving wife, Aggie Sheffield of Moorhead; daughter, Stephanie Lynn Cates of Leander, Texas; step-son, Morris Fried of Greenville; brothers, Clyde Allen Sheffield and his wife Frances of Munford, Tennessee, Ed Wayne Sheffield and his wife Peggy of Indianola, Jimmy Sheffield of Indianola; sisters, Trilby Ann McCoy and her husband Waymond of Moorhead, June Carol Sims of Greenville, Brenda Joyce Lassett and her husband Alton of Indianola; and grandchildren, Skyler and Slade Cates.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm funeral service at Moorhead Baptist Church.
