Madine Cole Tinnin, 94, of Caile, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood.

Madine and twin sister, Nadine, were born June 7, 1927, in Indianola, to Chester and Suzie Cole. She married William Edward Tinnin and together they made their home in Caile. Madine worked many years as a hairdresser and with her husband at Tinnin Oil Company in Inverness. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Edward Tinnin; five sisters; and 6 brothers.

Madine is survived by her godson, Dr. Asa Bennett and wife Lydia of Greenwood and their children, Tinnin Bay Bennett, Lasa Lee Bennett, Robert Samuel Bennett, and Joseph Hayes Bennett; two sisters, Billie Dean Evans of Leland and Helen Wright of Saltillo; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Thursday, March 17, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Inverness. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
