Obituary

Margaret Warnock Pilgrim, 78, was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior on September 30, 2022. Margaret was a long-time resident of Moorhead, Ms. where she worked at MDCC in the Vocational Technical field for 30 plus years. She loved her community, her co-workers, her Bible study friends, and the people of Moorhead Baptist Church. She served Moorhead Baptist Church as choir director for 37 years while also being involved in VBS and Children's Church. Margaret was an active and vocal supporter of MDCC and MSU sports. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and wife. Her love of singing will be greatly missed here but the family is strengthened by knowing that she is singing now for all eternity, finally freed from Parkinson's Disease.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents John and Oweta Smith, brother Gary Smith, and husband of 50 years Robert "Rabb" Warnock .

She leaves behind 2 sisters, Pat Worsham and Katherine Ezell; a daughter Amy; a granddaughter, Mari Margaret; her husband for 7 years, Mark Pilgrim; stepchildren, Bubba (Kelly) Pilgrim and Missy (Jimmy) Bolin; step grandchildren, Tripp (Neely) Pilgrim, Caleb Pilgrim, Hunter (Katherine) Bolin, Mary Steelman, Kate Street; and step great granddaughter, Emma James Steelman.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 3, 2022, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at Moorhead Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Veronica Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in Moorhead Cemetery.  Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
