Margie Kathryn Gilbert Horn, 94, of Itta Bena, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at her home.

Margie was born on December 15, 1930, in McKinney, Texas, to Joe and Margie Kathryn Smith Gilbert. She worked at Modern Line Products in Indianola for many years before retiring. Margie was a caring woman with a big heart. She always said what she thought and was always full of spunk. Margie enjoyed gardening, tending to her chickens, and embroidering. She loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Margie was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Faye, Alpha, Raymond, and Kenny.

Margie is survived by her four children, Charles Horn of Itta Bena, Mark Horn of Little Rock, Arkansas, Tim Horn (Anita) of Pine, Colorado, and George Ann Horn Vail of Sidon; sister, Ginny Watts of Bartonville, Texas; four grandchildren, Brad Vail (Maegan Hannan), Cody Horn (Ashton), Kristi Nix (Kendall), and Adam Horn; and four great grandchildren, Richard Horn, Aleana Horn, Weston Horn, and Allie Nix.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Indianola Memorial Gardens. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
