Marilyn Sue Jenkins Gilliam, 66, of Harrison, Arkansas and formerly of Indianola, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Marilyn was born July 6, 1950 and was the daughter of Wesley Lee and Mary Lee Stretty Jenkins.
Marilyn fought a long, hard battle with cancer. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her husband, their children and grandchildren, who she loved with all her heart and soul. She will be well remembered for her kindness and love for her family and many friends, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marilyn was proceeded in death by her parents; three brothers, Larry, Jimmy Wayne, and Michael Jenkins; and one sister, Helen Jenkins. She leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, Dale F. Gilliam of Harrison, Arkansas; son, Charles Nuttall of Gillette, Wyoming; daughters, Jackie McCullen and husband Jeff Russell of Harrison, Arkansas, Julie McEntire and husband Heath of Harmon, Arkansas, Jill Dillon and husband Luther of Lead Hill, Arkansas, Rebecca Fancher of Harrison, Arkansas, Sadie Gilliam of Harrison, Arkansas; brother, Marvin Lee Jenkins and wife Georgia Smith of Braxton, Mississippi; sister, Carolyn Jane Harrison of Harrison, Arkansas; and eight grandchildren, Samantha McCullen, Anthony Gilliam, Ryan Gilliam, Jonathan Gilliam, Shelby A. Boyd, Nicholas C. Boyd, Michael Fancher, and Jacob Fritcher.
Her family will receive friends Friday, November 18 th from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 19 th at 10:00 am at Burton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Indianola Memorial Gardens, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home.
A memorial will be planned later for friends and family in Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to any cancer foundation of the donor's choice.
