Marlene Fielder Luster, 79, of Belzoni, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Marlene was born September 2, 1942, in Morgan City, to Daniel Dewitt Fielder and Lucy Lea Crocker Fielder. She worked as a secretary for the Humphreys County School System for 29 years prior to her retirement. Marlene was an extremely devoted mother and her favorite thing to do was spend time with her daughters. She enjoyed watching wrestling and cooking. Marlene also enjoyed being around children. She worked with the children at her church for many years. Marlene was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Belzoni.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Tom Luster; and stepbrother, Daniel D. Fielder.

Marlene is survived by her two beloved daughters, Suzette Bolton of Belzoni and D'Anne (Al) Smith of Clarksdale; brother, Billy Fielder of Huntsville, Alabama; and sister, Bonnie Bobbitt of Longview, Texas.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 18, 2021, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The celebration of life service will begin at 11:00 am. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
