Martha Stancill Outlaw Scroggins, 85, of Belzoni, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025, at The Pinnacle in Greenville.

Martha was born January 29, 1940, in Drew, to Clyde Allen Stancill, Jr., and Sybil Jenning Stancill. She taught school in the Humphreys County School District for 30 years prior to her retirement. Martha was a member of the Belzoni Garden Club and First Presbyterian Church of Belzoni.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 37 years, James Carroll "Jimmy" Scroggins.

Martha is survived by her special family: Paul and Kristie Williams, Josh and Christa Williams, Mari-Adan and Dean Johnson, Justin and Erin Alexander, and her brother, Clyde Allen Stancill, III.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Belzoni Cemetery. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Steven Dahl officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
