Martha Joanne Willcutt, 61, of Sunflower, passed away peacefully Monday, April 17, 2017 at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola.

Joanne was born August 10, 1955 in Tennessee, and was the daughter of Grady and Martha Willcutt. She was a graduate of Indianola Academy and loved reading, sewing, and working crossword puzzles. Joanne was a member of Sunflower Baptist Church in Sunflower.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Grady Willcutt, Jr. and Don Willcutt.

Joanne is survived by her parents, Grady and Martha Willcutt of Sunflower; three children, Brian Anderson and his wife Day of Clinton; Juli Anderson Pate and her husband Ricky of Sunflower; and C.J. Anderson of Indianola; one brother, Eddie Willcutt of Belzoni; two sisters, Gail Sneed of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Barbara Warden of Linden, Texas; and six grandchildren, Landon, Brooke, Kori, Zoi, Baylee, and Kinsley.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola Memorial Gardens. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
