Mary Lee Ferracci's Obituary
Mary Lee Giardina Ferracci, 96, of Indianola, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Indianola Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Indianola.
Mrs. Ferracci was born January 9, 1922 in Leland to Vince and Lucy Carolla Giardina. She was retired from Mississippi Ceramic Tile in Cleveland. Mary Lee loved spending time with her family. Her hobbies were crocheting, playing card games, slots at the casino, and traveling. Her favorite time of year was the Annual Ferracci Spaghetti Christmas gathering.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Miro John Ferracci; four sisters Elaine Dawkins, Annette Wells, Rosa Lee Thompkins, Sarah Parker; two brothers, Frank Giardina and Tony Giardina; and her son, Sammy Eugene Ferracci.
Mrs. Ferracci is survived by one sister Elizabeth Crawford of Greenville; one son, Miro Ferracci and his wife, Nancy of Clarksdale; two daughters, Patricia Labaj of Long Beach, and Betty Lee Dunn of Indianola; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Indianola on Saturday, August 25, 2018 with the funeral mass immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Shaw Cemetery in Shaw. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
