Mary Lafaye Rivers Blakley, 80, of Indianola died Friday, December 25, 2015 at her home. She was born November 17, 1935 in Leflore County. Mrs. Blakley was a homemaker and was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Ellis Rivers and Myrtis O'Neal Rivers. Mrs. Blakley is survived by her loving husband, Irby Blakley, Jr. of Indianola; two daughters, Leann Blakley (Wayne) Davis and Lydia Faye Blakley of Greenwood; two sisters, Sue McNeer of Greenwood and Ann McNeer (Vernon) of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Mandy Guest (Bo), Jessica (Jared) Busick, and Zachary Davis; and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, December 28, 2015 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery.
