Mary Fowler Rosenthal, 90, of Indianola, passed away peacefully Monday, December 4, 2017 at Indianola Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born July 16, 1927, in Eupora to Charles and Lottie Vaughn Stewart. Mrs. Rosenthal worked as a Supervisor for Jockey International for 30 years until her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Rosenthal loved shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Indianola.
Mrs. Rosenthal was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ernest Fowler in 1973, second husband and the love of her life, David Rosenthal in 1996; and her only son, Charles Ernest Fowler.
She is survived by two stepsons, Steve Rosenthal and wife Robin of Indianola and Chuck Rosenthal and wife Melinda of Chattanooga, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Gail Rosenthal Susman and husband Joel of Chattanooga, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Brad Fowler and wife Cindy of Inverness, John Benjamin Rosenthal and wife Helen of Indianola, Rachael Rosenthal Nichols and husband John Robert of Hollandale, Joshua Dzik, Michael Dzik, Michelle Ray, and Alex Rosenthal all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 12 great grandchildren, Britney Fowler Hicks and husband Justin, Dalton Jones Fowler, Asher Rosenthal, Will Nichols, Rachel Dzik, Rebeccah Dzik, Noah Dzik, Miles Dzik, Addie Ray, Gracie Ray, Honor Ray, and Mercy Ray; and one great great grandson, Tyler Lake Hicks.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 8, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Rev. Frank McGaugh will officiate. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
