Nancy Comeaux Strowd, 91, of Indianola and formerly of Isola, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Indywood Personal Care Home in Indianola.

Nancy was born April 23, 1929, in Memphis, Tennessee and was the daughter of George Theodore Comeaux and Nancy Wallace VanMeter Comeaux. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping with her friends, and taking walks. Nancy was a member of Dorsett Drive Christian Church in Indianola.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Earl Strowd, Sr.

Nancy is survived by three children, Debra Strowd Weems (Jimmy) of Oxford, Carol Strowd Linker (Dan) of Waynesville, North Carolina, and Bill Strowd of Senatobia; four grandchildren, Wes Strowd (Lauren), Colin Weems, Peyton Weems (Bailey), and Sara Brooks Weems; and one great granddaughter, Ann Wesley Strowd.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness with Rev. Jim Woods officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
