Nettie Gay Poe Nobile, 96, of Moorhead, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 9, 2017 at her home.
She was born October 19, 1920 in Moorhead, and was one of eight children born to William Riley and Nannie Mae Poe. Mrs. Nobile was a graduate of Sunflower Agricultural High School and was always proud to tell that she was voted best girl athlete. Following high school, she worked as a telephone operator for Bell South. Nettie married Ciro John Nobile in 1947, and together they had four children. After starting her family, she decided to stay home and devote her time to raising her children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Nobile enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ciro Nobile; three brothers, Leroy Poe, Redelle Poe, and Junior Poe; and four sisters, Todd Wilkinson, Esther Eiland, Edith Poe, and Elise Drake.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Jerry Nobile and his wife Sandra, David Nobile and his wife Cindy, Danny Nobile and his wife Krissy; one daughter, Karla Bellipanni and her husband Domino; twelve grandchildren, Kimberly Hughes and her husband David, Kelly Toler and her husband Stanton, Will Nobile and his wife Olivia, Ashley Lane and her husband Kent, Amy Gough and her husband Brian, Andrew Nobile and his wife Mary Britton, Natalie Maxcy and her husband Frank, Danna Nobile, Elizabeth Bellipanni, John Nobile Bellipanni, Ivanka Nobile, and Bo Nobile; and eleven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the 3:00 pm funeral service at Moorhead Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
