Pamela Kay Kimbrell, 59, of Indianola, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at South Sunflower County Hospital.

Pam was born on March 27, 1966, in Indianola to Sammy Tharp and Crystal Hamilton Bates. She worked in hospitality until her health failed. Pam enjoyed watching game shows, crime TV, and thriller movies. She loved when family would visit her in the nursing home and talk about God and Jesus and read her bible. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Crystal Hamilton Bates and Sammy Tharp; stepfather, James "Pete" Bates; husband, Tony Kimbrell; son, Charles Kimbrell; grandparents, Wilma Reed Hamilton (Albert), Mae Tharp (Leroy); sister, Tammy Ward (Gene); and brother, Sheay Tharp (Stephanie Peacock Tharp); one nephew, Stephen Ward; and one grandchild, Logan Holmes.

She is survived by son, Christopher Kimbrell (Kassie) of Moorhead; daughter, Amanda Lolley (Andy) of Alabama; two brothers, Michael Tharp, Sr. (Billie) of Baldwyn, and Jason Bates of Grenada; three grandchildren, Hunter, Shelby-Jo "SJ", and Anthony Kimbrell; three nieces, Callie Ward of Indianola, Meagan Hudson of Indianola, and Crystal Tharp Emison (Sean) of Baldwyn; nephew, Michael Tharp, Jr. (Krischelle) of Booneville; and a host of great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm.  Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
