Obituary

Patsy Hodges Jones, 70, of Indianola, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving children.

Patsy was born January 27, 1954, in Eupora, to Ellis Clifton Hodges and Elizabeth Smith Hodges. She worked as a secretary for many years prior to her retirement. Patsy loved her family more than anything. They kept her going and were her whole life. Patsy loved hosting family get togethers and they always had a great time no matter what they were doing.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, and canning vegetables. Patsy HATED television.  She also loved it when she and her husband went on fishing trips. Patsy was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Indianola.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jerry Jones; and two brothers, Jerry Hodges and Earl Hodges.

Patsy is survived by her children, Chip Dunlap (Kris) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Steven Dunlap (Terri) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Gary Jones (Elsie) of Rogers, Arkansas, and Kristina Croslin (Marty Nick) of Greenbriar, Arkansas; two brothers, Charles Hodges of Bossier City, Louisiana and Wayne Hodges (April) of Olive Branch; sister, Judy Labella (Mike) of New Albany; ten grandchildren, Katie Munns (Codey), Corinna Jones, Hailey Dunlap, Colton Dunlap, Allie Hogue (Curt), Katie Anderson (Corey), Karlie Ashmore (Kenny), Kayli Nick, Skylar Cook (Connor), and Reuben Saunders; six great-grandchildren, Noah Hogue, Maylie and Maycie Anderson, Jayden Munns, Aleah Munns, and Cordale Munns; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Friday, November 22, 2024, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. John Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.

The children would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Earl and Leigh Hodges for their love and support in taking care of Patsy after Dad's passing.
