Obituary

Pattie Renee Isom Holeman, 53, of Sunflower, MS passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 8, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Pattie was born March 30, 1970, in Indianola, MS to Victor Assad "Oscar" Isom Sr. and Myrtle Lee Mann Isom.  She graduated high school from Indianola Academy in 1988 and Mississippi Delta Community College in 2017 where she obtained an Associate of Arts degree.  She returned to Mississippi Valley State University in 2019 where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) and Master of Business Degree (MBA).  Pattie worked as a Branch Manager at Planters Bank in Sunflower for many years and was the Health Sciences Office Coordinator at Mississippi Delta Community College until she retired in 2021.  Pattie served as an alderwoman for the Town of Sunflower for four years.

Pattie married Albert Ray Holeman, Jr. on January 27, 1990, and for 33 years they have made their home in Sunflower.  Together they enjoyed traveling, deer camp, and gatherings with family and friends.  Pattie loved to gather with her "pals" to watch movies, play games, and eat out.  She was a "people" person and everyone who knew her knew she was always jolly and the life of the party.   Her favorite hobbies were shopping, crocheting, and growing beautiful flowers.  She was a member of the Sunflower Baptist Church.

Pattie is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Myrtle Isom.  She is survived by her beloved husband Bert, two brothers, Victor A. "Oscar" Isom Jr. (Hala) of Centennial, Colorado and Freddie Isom of Sunflower, a sister-in-law, Rita Jones (Jerry), and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Sunflower Baptist Church.  The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Reverend Trey Pearce officiating.  Burial will follow in Moorhead Cemetery in Moorhead, Ms.  Burton Funeral Home in Indianola, MS has been entrusted with arrangements.
