Paula "Skeetie" Bridgers Griffin, 63, of Moorhead passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Skeetie was born March 10, 1953 in Clarksdale and was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Frances Vandiver Bridgers. She was a graduate of Belzoni High School and Mississippi Delta Junior College where she was a cheerleader. Skeetie worked at Mississippi Delta Community College as the Assistant Director of Maintenance and Grounds, Recruiting Counselor for new students, and was the cheerleader coach until her retirement. She was a member of Moorhead United Methodist Church where she was the pianist. Skeetie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Sammy Bridgers.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 35 years, John Robert Griffin of Moorhead; two sons, Jake Jenkins of Oxford and Bart Jenkins and his wife Molly of Red Banks, Mississippi; sister, Melinda Bridgers Andrus of Moorhead; two grandchildren, Hadley and Carson Jenkins of Red Banks; niece, Kelsey Andrus; nephew, Kyle Andrus; and great nephew, Kam Andrus.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Moorhead United Methodist Church in Moorhead. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
